Jimmy and Sook - Their clothes and things - Irvington, Virginia

Simple, yet appropriate…the three color, embroidered crab became the icon of Khakis of Irvington, the ladies and men’s specialty clothing store in Virginia. It has adorned several thousands of cotton pique knit shirts since it’s conception and introduction. After the first year of sales, it became evident that the ‘khaki Crab’ deserved it’s own shop where it could grow and expand. Jimmy and Sook™ …their clothes and things enjoyed a Grand Opening on July 4th, 2008 and has been the center of retail excitement in Irvington ever since. (Who are Jimmy and Sook?)

The original polo shirt is now available in 16 colors. Sport shirts, Bermuda shorts, khaki slacks with the trademarked Crab logo have been added to the presentation as well as apparel for ladies and kids. The Jimmy and Sook™ tee shirt line has received attention from the young and mature and new designs will premiere quarterly. Tote bags, aprons, caps and visors round out the offerings. (They don‘t really wear clothes.)

The shop’s fixtures are unique and include wooden docks stacked with crab pots that are full of ’crustacean clothing‘. The merchandise selection changes monthly and promotes return visits. Jimmy and Sook™ will be on the road with stops in most boat show venues around the bay. After all, The Free Lance-Star, in an article about Jimmy and Sook™ and it’s founder, Andy Smith, said, “the blue crab logo is the perfect thing to represent the Chesapeake Bay”. (You got it! Jimmy is a male crab and Sook is the female.)
